3 Things I Spotted This Week – #38

A tilted glass terrarium, a black metal and glass candle holder, and a concrete and glass candle holder (all at unbelievable prices)… Check out this week’s fun (in store) finds!

#1 – Tilted Glass Terrarium

While I didn’t find this terrarium online this week, I found it in-store and I had to tell you about it!

I found this terrarium at Target in the clearance area. It’s normally priced at $12.99 each, but was marked down to just $2.94! Needless to say, I bought the three remaining units and wish I could have bought a few more to use to make gifts.

I love the very light, natural wood that makes the base. There is a notch in the wood that allows you to tilt the round glass terrarium so it sits at an angle. I’m going to add small pebbles to the inside of one terrarium, and then add a couple colorful air plants. I’m going to use another terrarium as a vase for fresh cut flowers – the flowers will come out of the glass at an angle and I think that will make them look even better. I think the terrariums would also make awesome holders for small bathroom toiletries – cotton balls, Q-Tips, and small hand soaps would look right at home in them. And, while this might sound a little crazy, I really think these terrariums would make awesome beverage glasses for special beverages. Imagine sipping on a chilled beverage from this fun round glass. You could swirl the beverage around, take a sip, and then set the glass back on the base (at an angle, of course). Fun for the patio!

If you have a Target near you, QUICK! RUN to Target and see if you can snag a few of these while they’re still around.

#2 – Black Metal Candle Holder

Okay, so I didn’t find this candle holder online this week either – it was another Target clearance item!

This large candle holder is normally priced at $22.99. I got this for…. wait for it…. $8.98! And yes. I bought two of them (I might go back for two more).

This metal candle holder is 14″ tall! It has a glass cylinder that sits in the base to protect your candle. I love the tall handles – perfect for carrying the candles on the patio at night. You could put a large pillar candle inside, along with some fresh cut flowers for a more dramatic look. I have these two holders sitting on the steps of our entry way so when we’re sitting on the patio at night, they light up the steps.

This is another item you need to RUN to Target for before they’re gone! Go. Now.

#3 – Concrete and Glass Candle Holder

And last but not least – a concrete and glass candle holder. Oh, how I love things made from concrete!

Yes, this candle holder is another Target clearance item. It was $24.99, but I picked it up for just $9.48.

While this certainly would make a very nice candle holder, I plan on using it as a planter. Because the glass is one unit (no hole in the bottom), I think it will make a great planter. I’ll add pebbles as a base, followed by a layer of potting soil, and then plants. I like the look of wheat grass, and since this glass is so tall, I plan on growing grass in one of the holders. What would you use it for?

NOTE: Since my job is an online store and mentoring ecommerce business owners, I spend a LOT of time online each day. While most of that time is spent working, I do occasionally stumble across websites, articles, and cool things that I really like. I save these things to a Pinterest board, so someday when I have some free time, I can go back to that board and enjoy the things I found. I enjoy sharing these fun finds with you, and hope you find them interesting, too!
