#1 – Black Round Metal Planter

Okay. I realize this black round planter might not look all that impressive right now. But… I have ideas for this baby!

I’m not into wreathes on a front door, but I do like to hang plants there. In the warm months, I have a picture frame planter filled with unique plants and succulents. I like how it looks on the door and it’s a nice greeting every time we come home. But, when the weather turns too cold, I have to bring that planter in until it warms up again. This Winter, I wanted to find something I could put outside on our door with a plant that would survive the cold. Bingo! This round metal planter is perfect. I’m going to put a small juniper in this planter. The juniper has cascading tendrils that will look great coming out of the planter. A juniper will survive the cold (and most likely frozen) soil as it will be dormant in the Winter. Juniper’s don’t lose their needles like other evergreens do, so I think it’s a perfect choice.

And… I’d also love to have one of these planters for inside the house, hung above our console table in our formal entry way. I’d plant wheat grass in it for an awesome upright splash of green.

And just imagine how cool this planter would look hung on a wall above a toilet in a bathroom. A bunch of cascading plants, such as a Twisted Lipstick Plant, would look very cool!

I think this planter has so many possibilities – used indoors and out. There are also so many plant choices that would look great planted in it. I love that the planter is black – I think it’s striking and makes all the green of the plants really stand out.

How would you use this planter?

#2 – Candle Drink Clips

My husbands birthday is coming up soon and I was searching for some kind of unique candles to use for his celebration – something other than the ordinary candles you find on a cake. I spotted these candle drink clips and had to laugh. I think they’re going to be perfect for his birthday! I’ll mix him his favorite drink – a Long Island Ice Tea – and will add one of these candles to his drink. I know these candles will make him smile.

I like how the clips are 15 different colors – a great way for guests to be able to tell which drink is theirs!

#3 – Mini Cactus Planter

I look for unique plants online quite often. Look what I spotted! This mini cactus and planter is adorable!

The planter is handmade by TierraSolStudio on Etsy, and includes a living cactus. I can just picture several of these mini planters and plants sitting on a window ledge in a kitchen or bathroom. I think they’d also look pretty cool on a guest bathroom vanity. I’m sure they’d be a fun conversation piece!

NOTE: Since my job is an online store and mentoring ecommerce business owners, I spend a LOT of time online each day. While most of that time is spent working, I do occasionally stumble across websites, articles, and cool things that I really like. I save these things to a Pinterest board, so someday when I have some free time, I can go back to that board and enjoy the things I found. I enjoy sharing these fun finds with you, and hope you find them interesting, too!
