#1 – Stone Cairn

I love these stone cairns! We have several of these in different rooms of our house, and they always draw comments.

The river rocks are drilled in the center and are threaded on a metal rod that is inserted into the base rock. This metal rod keeps the rocks from tumbling over, yet is hidden so the rocks look like they are balanced on their own.

A cairn is a pile of stacked stones made by a person and left for others to find. The word “cairn” comes from the term meaning “heap of stones” in Gaelic. Cairns have been around since prehistoric times and may have been used originally to mark a route. The balanced stones is said to show patience and balance, and to signify an intention of grace for thankfulness.

#2 – Bowl Planter

I had been looking for more of these bowl planters and then stumbled on this one this week – I was so excited! And to make it even more awesome, they’re on sale right now at almost 50% off!

I love these bowls for plants on our coffee table on the front patio. They’re large enough for most plants, but not so large that they take up the entire table. The planters also look great sitting on shelves and benches, or even lining the steps in an entry way.

They’re versatile, too! You can use them as a fruit bowl in your kitchen, as a bowl to hold hand towels and toiletries in a bathroom, and to use as a small ice bowl to keep beverages cold while sitting on a deck or patio.

I like the dark charcoal color, shown here, but there are other colors available as well. Check them out!

#3 – Textured Grey Glass Vases

These grey glass mini vases are big in style! And they are affordable as well!

Place the vases on a kitchen windowsill and enjoy fresh flowers from your garden. The vases would also make great jars to propagate new plants. Use the vases in the center of your dining room table to hold small branches and twigs from trees in your yard. You could even fill the vases with your favorite essential oil, add reeds and you have your own room freshener. So many uses for these little vases!

NOTE: Since my job is an online store and mentoring ecommerce business owners, I spend a LOT of time online each day. While most of that time is spent working, I do occasionally stumble across websites, articles, and cool things that I really like. I save these things to a Pinterest board, so someday when I have some free time, I can go back to that board and enjoy the things I found. I enjoy sharing these fun finds with you, and hope you find them interesting, too!
