Happy Father’s Day, Dad

My Dad was the MOST awesome man I have ever known.

He was my rock.

Dad was creative, brilliant, extremely handy, and was always there for me. Everyone who knew Dad, enjoyed his company.

Dad cared about and loved our family – he felt we were the most important people in his life.
He was so intelligent!
He could have long, meaningful discussions with you about ANYTHING. I miss those conversations!
Dad was our coach – he coached our baseball and softball teams and our hockey teams. He made an excellent coach!
Dad loved to be on the water fishing. He always baited my hook and took my fish off the hook so I didn’t have to touch them (thanks Dad).
Dad could fix ANYTHING!
Dad taught us all to believe we could do or be anything we wanted in life, we just had to put our mind to it.
Dad was so kind! He lived his life to make other’s lives better.
Dad was always there when you needed him.
Dad taught me how to think for myself. I love him so much for that.

I can’t put into words how much I love my Dad. It’s a unique love between father and daughter.

Dad passed away this year.
I think about him every day. I am thankful for all the memories and conversations Dad and I shared. I hold those memories dearly in my heart.

Whenever I had a question, needed to learn how to do something, or just needed someone to bounce ideas off of, I knew I could count on Dad to be there, offering his advice and wisdom. I still find myself thinking “I’ll ask Dad”, only to remember he’s no longer here.

I miss him – every day. I feel like the luckiest person in the world to have had HIM for my Dad. He really was an awesome man.

If your Dad is still with you, give him a hug and tell him how much he means to you.

Happy Fathers Day, Dad. I will love you forever. I thank you very much for EVERYTHING you ever did as a Dad. You will be forever in my heart.

143 Dad.
