How to Make Ice Cream With Just 3 Ingredients (No Ice Cream Maker Needed)

“I scream. You scream. We all scream for Ice Cream!”

My family and I enjoy having friends and family over – whether it’s for game night, outdoor movie night, watching the stars and meteors, relaxing on the patio, or just hanging out together. It’s fun for me to come up with the menu’s for these gatherings, everything from appetizers to dessert.

One of our family stand-by desserts is whipping up a quick batch of ice cream – with just three ingredients, large glass jars, and a freezer. The ice cream tastes so good, and there are so many possibilities for flavors and toppings.

Here’s a quick and easy, 3-ingredient ice cream recipe – no ice cream maker needed! Our family favorite, perfect for a tasty treat, any time of year!

Quick and Easy Ice Cream

What You Will Need:
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream
  • 1 can (14-oz.) Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1-1/2 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
  • Cherries or other fruit or flavorings (optional)
What You Do:
  1. Using an electric hand mixer on high speed, beat the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla in a large bowl until thick stiff peaks form (around 3-5 minutes).
  2. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan or freezer-safe container (we like to use these half gallon glass jars) .
  3. Cover and freeze until firm (at least 8 hours).
  4. Will last in the freezer for up to 2 weeks (but trust me, it won’t last that long).
  5. Scoop and serve! Top with cherries or your favorite fruit, or other favorite toppings and enjoy!
