Long Island Hot Tea Cocktail

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 oz. Vodka
  • 1/2 oz. Gin
  • 1/2 oz. Cointreau (or other orange flavored liqueur)
  • 1/2 oz. Tequila
  • 1/2 oz. Light Rum
  • 2 Cups Hot Tea (strong brewed, English Breakfast works well)
  • Honey (to taste)
  • Lemon Juice (to taste)
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks (to garnish)

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Boil water and prepare tea.
  2. While tea is steeping, mix liquors together in a large mixing glass or cocktail shaker – without ice.
  3. Pour hot tea into two cups.
  4. Pour mixed liquor into two cups of hot tea, equally divided among both cups.
  5. Taste your drink, then add honey and lemon as desired.
  6. Garnish with a cinnamon stick, if you’d like.

HOT TEA DAY FUN FACTS:

  • Tea is the second more consumed beverage in the USA, right behind coffee (I figure alcohol must be a close third. 🤪 ).
  • Tea has been used medicinally for thousands of years. It settles the nervous system and helps you relax. (Add a bit of alcohol and you’ll REALLY relax – LOL).

Cheers!
