CURRENTLY READING: Elon Musk, Rise of the Youpreneur, Stop Boring Me, Content Mavericks, The Whispering Room

I really enjoying reading – both for entertainment and to learn new things.

There’s always a stack of books piled on my desk waiting to be read, and I’m usually reading 3 or more books at a time.

Current Reading List

Here’s what’s on my current reading list:

Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future” by Ashlee Vance

I think Elon Musk is an amazing man and I admire his work ethics, his imagination, and his ability to make things happen. He is a visionary with the goal of making this world a better place.

I’m only about half-way through this book right now, but I am really enjoying it. It provides a very interesting insight into Elon Musk’s life and how he got to where he is today.

I highly recommend this book!

Rise of the Youpreneur: The Definitive Guide to Becoming the Go-To Leader in Your Industry and Building a Future-Proof Business” by Chris Ducker

This book was recommended to me by a friend. I’ve only read a couple of chapters so far, so I don’t have a review of it yet, but I am finding the book interesting.

I need to read more of the book before I can decide what I’ll do with the information. Stay tuned!

Stop Boring Me! How to Create Kick-Ass Marketing Content, Products, and Ideas Through the Power of Improv” by Kathy Klotz-Guest

This book was on a recommended marketing book list in an article I read online. I’m hoping to glean some new ideas from this book to help market my vintage shop, and to share information I’ve learned from the book with the ecommerce group that I lead.

I like ideas that are unique – not something everyone else is doing – and I think this book is perfect for unique marketing ideas.

Content Mavericks: How to Grow Your Business With Insanely Shareable Content” by Andrew and Pete

This is another book that was recommended in a recent article I read. This book is fun and helpful for coming up with interesting content to share with your customers and potential customers on social media.

The book walks you through understanding your business better, which in turn helps you promote it in a natural and interesting way.

This book is a quick-read and I recommend it to anyone who needs a few tips to boost their marketing.

The Whispering Room” by Dean Koontz

I have loved Dean Koontz books since I was a teenager, and I have read every single book he has written to date. I like being swept away on the adventures he spins in his stories, and I like that he weaves science and technology into his stories.

This is the second book in the Jane Hawk series. I just got this book and have only read the first chapter so far, but if it’s anything like the first book, it’s going to be hard to put this one down! Good thing the weather is getting warmer here in Minnesota – this will make a great book to read pool side.

I’m already looking forward to the third book in this series…
