#1 – Vanity Stool / Chair / Plant Stand

I am obsessed with this teddy bear furry moss green vanity stool!

Okay, first some details. This stool is versatile! The lid comes off and can be used with the wood surface facing up or the fuzzy side facing up. With the wood side up, the stool can be used as a plant stand, side table, or coffee table. With the fuzzy side up, it can be used as a stool – perfect for a vanity, bathroom, desk, or bedroom – or as an ottoman. Just lift the lid and you can use the inside of the stool for storage – how cool is that?!

The furry, fuzzy upholstery reminds me of moss or of a fresh-cut lawn. And if you know me, you know how obsessed I am with plants and anything green!

I think this stool would look absolutely PERFECT in an indoor plant room! It would blend right in. I could also picture this stool being used on a patio or deck.

I have two moss green benches in our home that have black legs on them. I plan on painting the legs of this stool black to better match the benches I have – and because I like the color black. I might also spray the fabric of this stool with a water-repellent spray so I can use it outside on our slightly covered front steps. Making it a little more outdoor-friendly, I’d be able to sit on the stool and enjoy listening to the sounds of spring in the evening.

If you are a houseplant fanatic, I’m telling you – THIS stool is perfect for any decor, nestled among plants! Check it out and let me know how you would use this stool.

#2 – Circular Metal Plant Hanger

This black metal plant hanger is awesome!

When I first spotted this very affordable plant hanger, I immediately had a bunch of ideas for it!

Of course, you can use this the way it was intended to be used – as a plant hanger, and it would look fabulous inside your home or outside on a porch or patio. It would also work well hung from a shepherd hook in a garden, holding your favorite potted annuals. If you wanted to, you could even secure a small bowl to the holder (instead of a pot) and use this hanger as a bird feeder hanging from a tree. You could also turn this hanger into a LED candle holder for mood lighting on a patio – just slip a clear glass cylinder vase into the opening, add an LED candle and hang it from a tree – unique lighting.

I turned this into a plant stand versus a plant hanger. I removed the included jute hanging cord, then had my husband make a wood base to hold the outer metal ring. We painted the base black to match the metal and waterproofed the wood so the stand can be used outside on our patio. The end result is exactly what I envisioned.

So many ways to use this simple hanger!

#3 – Handmade Waxed Canvas Tote Bag

Speaking of obsessed… I am also obsessed with this handmade waxed canvas bag!

I found this bag at BayanHippo, a shop on Etsy based in Turkey. I had been looking for a canvas bag in moss green with leather handles when I spotted this bag. I contacted the shop owner to ask about a custom size, and she was fabulous! She made the bag the exact size I was looking for and it is perfect. I love the heavy canvas, the color, the handles, and even all the pockets and inside lining. This is a quality bag and I know it will last many years. I really am thrilled with this bag!

Bags like this have many many many uses – for example, using it as a purse, as a shopping bag, a book bag, an overnight bag, or even as a briefcase. It would also make a fun picnic bag, beach bag, or pool bag. Right now, I am using it as a bag to haul my every-day work items up and downstairs every morning and every night: I pack my iPad, iPhone, idea notebooks, favorite sweatshirt, and other miscellaneous items in it every morning when I get up, then carry the bag downstairs to my office.  At the end of the day, I pack everything back up and carry the bag back up to our bedroom. Trying to carry these things in my arms previously up and down a full-flight of stairs was cumbersome. But now that I have this bag, it’s easy-peasy!

If you’re looking for a canvas tote bag, I HIGHLY recommend checking out THIS bag! Trust me. You will love it.

NOTE: Since my job is an online store and mentoring ecommerce business owners, I spend a LOT of time online each day. While most of that time is spent working, I do occasionally stumble across websites, articles, and cool things that I really like. I save these things to a Pinterest board, so someday when I have some free time, I can go back to that board and enjoy the things I found. I enjoy sharing these fun finds with you, and hope you find them interesting, too!
