#1 – Color-Changing Floating Light Spheres

I just love this set of color-changing floating light spheres – they have so many uses!

Sure, these spheres were made to be used as floating pool lights, and they definitely are a blast to use that way. But, they also make awesome patio decor, and they look cool in the landscaping. They’re waterproof, so you can set them around your patio or tuck them into your landscaping and enjoy them in the evenings. They even have hooks on them, so you can hang them up around a deck or patio. Fun!

We’ve had these lights for quite a few years now and we use them all the time. They really are fun for parties! Sometimes I set them so they’re all white light, other times I let them change color on their own – it just depends on the party or what we’re doing. Keep them all together, or separate them in different areas of your yard. They also work well inside your house. We like having one on the coffee table at our lake cabin. It’s small enough to not get in the way of other things, but large enough to draw attention.

#2 – Reusable Water Balloons

These reusable water balloons are so much fun! Adults love them as much as kids do!

These reusable water balloons are made of silicone and have magnetic closures. They fill up easily – just open them, push them into the water open side down and they snap shut and are full of water. The magnets hold tight until the balloon comes in contact with something, and then they pop open like they should. What a clever idea! I especially love the colors in this set – I think they look classy. I also love that they can be used over and over and over again.

Host a water balloon fight in your backyard – a perfect way to cool down on a hot day. They are also fun for pool parties! You can fill up a bunch of these balloons before your guests arrive so they’re ready to go. Just handle them gently while stockpiling them in a bucket so they don’t pop open early.

#3 – Just-Right Size Ice Cube Balls

I know. It sounds silly – after all, how does a person get excited about ice cube trays? Well… I am excited about this tray! This ice sphere tray makes the perfect size ice balls.

We go through a LOT of ice in our house – for our cocktail club, craft ice teas and cold brew coffee, as well as everyday beverages. I really enjoy having a variety of different ice cube shapes available – sometimes it’s the presentation of a beverage that seems to make it taste even better. I like using round ice cubes for certain drinks. We have the molds that make 2-inch spheres, as well as molds that make mini ice spheres. While I like the mini spheres, they just melt so darn fast! The 2-inch ice spheres definitely last a long time, but they are so large, they don’t fit easily in all our glasses. So… I was on a quest to find an ice sphere maker that would make ice spheres  smaller than our largest molds, but larger than the smallest molds. After a lot of searching, I finally found THIS ice tray – it makes ice spheres that are 1.2-inches! The perfect size! They don’t melt as quick as the smaller versions, and fit in glasses better than the larger versions. And, they are easy to make! And… the tray is white! Wait… what? Yes. To me, the color is also important. It seems most silicone ice trays are pastel colors. If you know me, you know my favorite colors are black and white. Since we have a LOT of ice cube trays in our freezer at all times, I like it to look nice in there, as well as when we’re entertaining. So I only use black or white ice cube trays. Yeah, I know. That may seem weird. But, it works for me, and I like the neat and consistent look. You do you, I’ll do me. But I seriously recommend these trays!

To change up your ice game, make ice spheres out of cold brew coffee or tea – the ice spheres won’t dilute your beverages this way. You can also freeze edible flowers in the ice cubes, a gorgeous look for ice water! I also like to freeze my homemade Limoncello in these trays and pop them into cocktails that require lemon juice – yum! Freezing fresh fruit in the ice also makes a fabulous presentation for cocktails. So many possibilities!

While most of that time is spent working, I do occasionally stumble across websites, articles, and cool things that I really like. I save these things to a Pinterest board, so someday when I have some free time, I can go back to that board and enjoy the things I found. I enjoy sharing these fun finds with you, and hope you find them interesting, too!
