3 Things I Spotted This Week – #1

A citron sun, a 1960 bicycle, and a moss statue… Check out this week’s fun finds!

#1 – Citron Sun

This is a piece of art by world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly. This was on display at the New York Botanical Gardens. Isn’t it cool?!?!?! Oh, how I would love to have the time to create something like this for our backyard. I love the color, I love the organic shape, and it’s uniqueness. I think it would be a blast to create something like this!

#2 – 1960 Bowden Spacelander Bicycle

Is this the coolest bike ever?!?! Oh my! I love everything about this bike! At a $13,000 price tag, I don’t believe I will be owning this bike any time soon ever, but one can dream, right?!?!

#3 – Moss Statue

I love statues scattered throughout our property. Tucked in the woods at the wood line so they only appear if you are really looking for them; in our landscaping; and hanging from tree branches. I think of them as landscape surprises and they make me smile. I would love to tuck a moss covered statue somewhere out near our pool where the deep woods meets the landscaping. The moss adds character, and makes the statue look like it’s been there for centuries. So cool..

All three things are pinned on Pinterest at Things I Like

NOTE: Since my job is an online store and mentoring ecommerce business owners, I spend a LOT of time online each day. While most of that time is spent working, I do occasionally stumble across websites, articles, and cool things that I really like. I save these things to a Pinterest board, so someday when I have some free time, I can go back to that board and enjoy the things I found.

  1. The Spacelander looks amazing. Interestingly, it sold for $89.50 in 1959 and was still the most expensive bicycle on the market at that time.

  2. Mrs. A – that’s interesting! I wonder how many people bought that bike back when it first came out – and if they still have it today. This one sure is a treasure!
