3 Things I Spotted This Week – #4

Since my job is an online store and mentoring ecommerce business owners, I spend a LOT of time online each day. While most of that time is spent working, I do occasionally stumble across websites, articles, and cool things that I really like. I save these things to a Pinterest board, so someday when I have some free time, I can go back to that board and enjoy the things I found.

Here are three random things (in no particular order) that I am really loving this week. Maybe you’ll find them interesting, too!

#1 – Stainless Steel Reusable Straws

Now here is a brilliant idea! We have used reusable hard-plastic straws in our house for a long time. They’re cool, they’re colorful, and they’re striped. They clean easily and we’ve gotten plenty of use out of them. Somehow our supply is dwindling – I think the straws might accidentally get thrown out when we entertain. I was looking for some replacement straws and found this cool set – in metal! I love metal! I love that this set also comes with brushes to thoroughly clean the straws out.

#2 – Wood Hammock

One of my brothers loves to build things. I think I need to have him build me one of these hammocks! Isn’t this cool? I seriously love this idea. It could be anchored in the ground and would survive our harsh Minnesota Winters. I think it would be very relaxing, especially with one of the lime green patio pillows from last Saturday’s “Things I Spotted This Week“. I could see this hammock plopped right in the landscaping around The Fort in our yard. I think it would get a lot of use! What do you think?

#3 – Skeleton Flower

This flower is simply amazing. The petals start out as white petals, but they turn clear in the rain. When the petals dry out, they turn white again. This plant is a Diphylleia. While it isn’t a plant that typically grows in Minnesota, you can bet I will be trying to find this plant and will over-Winter it inside. Isn’t it amazing?!?!?

  1. Great finds this week, JD. The Diphylleia is other-worldly. ❤️
