Dash Plants Vent Clips

Do you have Spring Fever? I sure do!

Today, I crafted what I call ‘Dash Plants’ for my truck. Those little pops of green on my dash remind me that Spring is not that far away… And, I got to use my newest glue gun, so that was also pretty cool.

What did you craft today?

What You Will Need:

What You Do:

  1. Gather the number of dash vent clips you need, along with your mini plants and your hot glue gun so everything is ready to assemble
TIP: I recommend working on a silicone craft mat to protect your surface from any hot glue.
  2. Place a dot of hot glue on the flat surface of the vent clip, then quickly adhere your mini plant
TIP: Make sure you know the direction of your vehicles vents before making your vent clips! Most vehicle vents run horizontally, but some run vertically.
  3. Set the glued plants and clips on your craft mat and allow the glue to fully cool before using your clips
  4. Plant your dashboard with your Dash Plants for a fun look

Additional Tips:

  • Objects to Use – ANY small object can be made into a dash vent clip. Let your imagination run wild! Here are some ideas to get you started: Dollhouse Frames filled with small photos of your family for a Gallery Dash Wall; Small Crystals or Gems of all kinds and colors can be used to add BLING to your dash; Mini Figures of your favorite characters bring your dash to life; Mini Vases with Flowers are sure to brighten your dull dash. Mini Mirrors reflect the sunlight around your vehicle. You get the idea!
  • Use Adhesive Instead of Hot Glue – If you don’t have a hot glue gun, you can use adhesive such as E6000 for this project. Just make sure whatever adhesive you choose can withstand the various temperatures inside your vehicle throughout each season.

Make sure to see all my other projects for National Craft Month to give you ideas of projects you might want to try!

I hope you enjoyed this project! Make sure to check back tomorrow to see what I’ll be working on.
