Clever Uses for the Glass Pumpkin Candle Holder

Candy Holder

These glass pumpkins make awesome candy jars!

  • For a Halloween party, set several glass pumpkins on your center island and fill each pumpkin with a different type of candy – Brach’s Halloween assortment is a classic favorite. Let your guests help themselves to their favorites.
  • Fill a pumpkin with a variety of wrapped candies (such as mini candy bars) and set the candy jar on your desk at work. Your coworkers will thank you!
  • On Halloween Eve after your kids (of ANY age) have gone to bed, fill a pumpkin with a variety of your kids favorite candies – one pumpkin for each kid. Add a tag with your child’s name on it, then set the pumpkin on your table where your kids eat breakfast. They’ll wake up to their own pumpkin filled with candy – what a sweet way to start the day. TIP: To make this even more fun for you and your kids, tuck a handwritten note in the pumpkin holder along with the candy. The note could be as simple as “You’re sweet – Love Mom” or it could be a coupon for a special date night with you.

Halloween Party Favor Gift Basket

These glass pumpkins have metal handles on them, making them a fun party favor gift basket!

  • Fill a bunch of pumpkins with Halloween party favors (such a the assortment shown here) and several orange glow sticks. Prepare one pumpkin for each of your party guests. While these party favors might look like they’re just for kids, adults like to be silly with them, too! NOTE: Since the pumpkins are made of glass, these party favors are best for older kids, or for younger kids with adult supervision.
  • Instead of handing out a party favor gift basket as mentioned above, you could also use these party favor baskets as prizes at a Halloween party. Award the winner of your games (such as bobbing for apples) a prize-filled pumpkin. You get the idea.

Party Utensil Holder

This pumpkin makes the perfect holder for Halloween party cutlery!

Pumpkin Flower Vase

Show off your favorite fresh cut flowers in a glass pumpkin – perfect for Fall and Halloween!

  • Fill one or more glass pumpkins with water and add fresh cut flowers. Make sure to cut the stems short so the flowers bunch together in a pleasing way.
  • If you’d like, you could insert a chunk of green floral foam into the pumpkin then add water and fresh flowers, or skip the water and add artificial flowers.
  • Place the pumpkin vases on your kitchen counters, dining room table, coffee table, or anywhere you want a pop of color for Halloween.

Tealight or Votive Holder

Of course, I had to include this obvious use as well. Since I have a case of 24 of these pumpkins, I’m going to use 12 of them as candle holders and place them on windowsills throughout our main level. Not only will they look cool from outside our house, they will also make the rooms we use most often look more inviting for Halloween parties and guests. I just love the cheery faces on these pumpkins!

I’m going to use pumpkin spice scented candles – yum! I can smell them already!

Where to Display:

  • Place the candle holders on your kitchen windowsills for a pop of color and fun.
  • Use the candle holders in a living room, gather in groups on a coffee table, mantle, or side tables.
  • Set a pumpkin candle in your guest bathroom.
  • Use LED tealights and then set a pumpkin in your children’s rooms to use as a nightlight for Halloween.
  • Set out a line of 6 or more pumpkins down the center of your dining room table and use the candle holders as a centerpiece for Halloween.
  • Having a Halloween party? Set a bunch of these candle holders on your buffet table or center island, nestled among your treats and snacks.
  • Use the pumpkin candle holders on your front steps – one candle holder on each step – to light a path to your home for Halloween guests.
