Because of the nature of my job, I spend a lot of time online. As a result, I come across some pretty cool websites, and I’d like to share these treasured finds with you.

In this new blog series, Favorite Websites, I’ll post my favorite sites with you, and will give you tips on how you can use these websites. I hope you enjoy!

Once the website loads, you’ll be able to explore all the different cameras, features, lesson plans, and more.

A sub-menu appears showing all the cameras in that category.
  3. Click the left and right arrows to scroll through the cameras, then click on the live camera you’re interested in. For example, one of my favorites:  Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights).
TIP: You can see how many live streams there are in each category – this information appears when you hover over a slide or shows up as an overlay on the first slide.
  4. When you’re viewing a live camera, click on the Camera Icon above the video to take a snapshot from the video – you can then save the photo to your computer, or share it on social media.
You’ll have to be logged in to save the image. You can create a free account – all you need is your email address. Just click the Join link in the upper-right corner to join (or log in).
  5. Make sure to scroll down below the live camera video for more information – you’ll find details about the camera or the area the camera is located in, as well as comments from viewers, weather information, questions and answers about the the view, and much more.
