#1 – Kantha Throw Pillow Covers

If you’ve been following my blog each week for this series of posts (posted every Saturday), you already know I have a thing for throw pillows. And, you probably already know I also have a thing for kantha fabrics. I was looking for a special holiday gift this past week, and look what I spotted! Kantha throw pillow covers! Aren’t they beautiful?!

Since these are just the covers, you can use them on your existing throw pillows to change up the style.

I think the pillows would look beautiful on a bed, couch, or chairs. They’d also make fun floor pillows for family game nights. They make awesome gifts, too!

#2 – Ceramic Pink Flamingo Candle Holder

I just love flamingos! I think this pink flamingo candle holder would add a touch of whimsy to any room. And it’s sure to make you smile!

Adding a candle would look very cool, but I think this would look awesome as a planter as well. I’d add a small parlor palm plant and then pretend I were laying on a warm sandy beach somewhere in the tropics. Ah……

#3 – Black Round Tray

A round black tray with handles is one of the most versatile items you could have in your house. I have a black round metal tray that we use in our music room all the time. There is a large couch in that room with a large ottoman. I use the tray on both the couch and ottoman as a place for us to set our drinks, remotes, phones, and a plant or two. The tray is large enough to make it very stable. So even if you move around on the couch, anything on the tray stays put. And, if by chance something were to spill, the tray I have is metal and would contain any liquid. It also wipes up very easily.

I spotted this lacquered tray this past week while trying to find another metal tray. This one isn’t quite as large as the one I have, but I know it would work just as well.

If you didn’t want to use the tray on a couch or ottoman like I’m doing, you could also use it on a coffee table or end table in a living room. It helps contain the clutter and prevents damage to your tables.

I also like to use trays like this on our center island. They make a good catch-all for everything that always seems to land on the center island – again keeping things together and more tidy.

I also like using these trays on top our electric stovetop – when it’s not in use, of course. I use it to hold fruit or fresh baked cookies and breads. When I need to use the stovetop, I just move the tray (and all it’s contents) to a counter. A quick and easy way to clean up the stove.

These trays also are handy when you’re entertaining on the patio. Just add a pitcher of homemade limeade, several glasses, and an ice bucket and you can carry everything out to the patio at one time.

I like using black trays because I think they blend in with any decor style and they make everything on the tray look more posh or elegant.

How would you use this tray?

NOTE: Since my job is an online store and mentoring ecommerce business owners, I spend a LOT of time online each day. While most of that time is spent working, I do occasionally stumble across websites, articles, and cool things that I really like. I save these things to a Pinterest board, so someday when I have some free time, I can go back to that board and enjoy the things I found. I enjoy sharing these fun finds with you, and hope you find them interesting, too!

  1. I was wondering how that Pink Flamingo would look sitting on a vanity with combs/brushes in it or maybe makeup brushes. I was trying to envision the size. I have a friend that just loves anything Pink Flamingo!! Thanks for the idea.

    1. That’s a great idea, Patty! Combs/brushes or makeup brushes would work well in this flamingo. It’s about 8 inches long and 8 inches tall (opening is around 5-1/2 inches). I just love flamingos!
