#1 – Rubber Ducky Snowball Maker

Bring on the 30-degree weather and snow – I’m ready to start making ducks!

This rubber ducky snowball maker is my new favorite thing. Yes. I’m an adult woman. But, I have the heart of a child. And yes, I AM going to make ducks. LOTS of ducks. As a matter of fact, I bought two of these rubber ducky snowball makers and I am going to take anyone who will go along with me to our local small “downtown” and I’m going to leave ducks everywhere! In parks, at gas stations, at stores. Wherever I can find moldable snow, I’m going to leave a duck. Or two. Or three. Or maybe dozens. When I told my kids my plan, they each said “only you, Mom”. Yeah. Well. They can think I’m crazy, but I am going to have FUN!!!

For whatever reason, I just love those yellow rubber duckies. I float dozens of them in our Reflection Pond off our patio each year. I have over a hundred of them that I often toss in the pool and let float while I’m swimming. And, I even have a large rubber ducky that I tie off the dock at our cabin – just because I can. And now I can enjoy these ducks in the Winter! These duck shapes just make me feel happy. And we all want to feel happy, right?! Hopefully the snowball ducks I leave all over town will make at least one person smile. My only goal.

Have snow in your area and want to have some fun? Buy one of these duck snowball makers! TIP: They work with sand, too!

(P.S. I tested a bunch of these – there are lots of different brands available – but THIS one is the best. Trust me.)

#2 – Rose Colored Glasses

The New Year has just started – and after last year (long story), I have decided to look at this year through “rose colored glasses”. And these rose colored glasses are just the thing to make anyone smile.

These sunglasses are polarized (great for fishing) and have UV protection. They are made well, look great, and are very affordable. And, they might make you see the world in a whole new light. You never know. These are my new “lucky glasses”. Get a pair and you’ll see what I mean.

#3 – Crooked Abstract Vase

Speaking of things that make you smile, you just can’t help but smile at this crooked abstract vase.

If you know me, you know that I try to have a vase of fresh flowers in our house at all times. I’ve been doing this since we built our first house many years ago, and still do this in our current house. I mostly get fresh flowers from the grocery store or local farmer’s markets (growers) and I love having them around all year. I’m always looking for fun ways to display them, and when I spotted this vase, I couldn’t resist. I just love the crooked abstract look – it fits me well.

This vase works for flowers, greenery from your garden or yard, as well as for propagating houseplants. Its large size makes it easy to spot in your decor and it definitely makes a statement wherever you put it. Use it for parties, celebrations, and every day use. I currently have a bouquet of Green Tick Dianthus flowers in mine. What are your favorite fresh cut flowers?

NOTE: Since my job is an online store and mentoring ecommerce business owners, I spend a LOT of time online each day. While most of that time is spent working, I do occasionally stumble across websites, articles, and cool things that I really like. I save these things to a Pinterest board, so someday when I have some free time, I can go back to that board and enjoy the things I found. I enjoy sharing these fun finds with you, and hope you find them interesting, too!
